Today Netcraft's November 2006 survey was published and we apparantly broke the 100 million domains mark. And if you look at the graphs that come with it, it really looks explosive. Everyone seems to be getting a website and I have to wonder what will come of it. Low traffic will be one effect, I guess, as there will be more and more websites that vie for your attention. But on the other hand, will that be a catalyst for the whole Web 2.0 hype that's going on now? And I mean especially the mashing and syndication of other content.
I notice that these days I get more info out of my RSS reader then any other source. I seldom visit pages for another reason than that I read about them in a post.
It all makes for an interesting future. And lots of lawsuits, probably.
